Hello and thank you for visiting my page, I’m Ian Stacey an IT Infrastructure Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator with over 20 years experience. Born in England and now settled in Dublin, Ireland, I like to think I have built a reputation for myself in companies that I have worked for as someone who ‘gets the job done’ to a high standard and as a solver of problems.
Technology is ever evolving and to embrace the ever-changing world of IT, I am currently tuning my skills in fields including DevOps, Cloud and Kubernetes, setting myself certification goals along the way. Since gaining MCSE and HP-UX accreditations earlier in my career, certifications haven’t been a priority of mine for some time, however I’m looking to change that and I’ve successfully sat a number of exams in recent times. I’m finding the goal of certification helps with a structured learning path and a better understanding of the subjects.
